About TongaNyika Trust
TongaNyika Trust is a non-profit community empowerment initiative dedicated to delivering FREE, high-quality vocational and life skills training to Zimbabwean communities. Founded with a vision rooted in Zimbabwe's National Vision 2030, the Trust bridges the skills gap affecting youths, women, and vulnerable groups across urban and rural constituencies.
From Mafakose to Hatcliffe, Zvimba to Bulilima, TongaNyika Trust has equipped over 1,500 Zimbabweans with practical, income-generating skills — restoring dignity, fighting poverty, and reducing gender-based violence and substance abuse.

Cde Tongai Mafidi Mnangagwa is a dedicated public servant and community champion who has made it his personal mission to ensure that no Zimbabwean is left behind. As the MP for Hunyani and Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, he channels his passion for national development into tangible action.
Together with his wife and Co-Founder, Gwendolyn Mnangagwa, the TongaNyika Trust stands as their shared flagship community project — a living testament to their belief that practical skills are the greatest equaliser. Under their stewardship, the Trust has reached communities across Harare, Mashonaland, Matabeleland, and Midlands provinces, graduating thousands of citizens in trades that generate income and restore independence.
Their work directly advances President E.D. Mnangagwa's Vision 2030 agenda — building an upper-middle-income Zimbabwe where every citizen has the tools to thrive.
